At Mellor St. Mary's school we use the Kapow Primary teaching programme for French in KS2.
Kapow French is a carefully planned sequential and progressive scheme which matches the National Curriculum requirements for teaching and learning languages.
In order to ensure effective progression and knowledge embedding, French is taught as a discrete single year group lesson on a weekly basis. However, further opportunities to develop pupil knowledge across the curriculum is also explored through learning themes and other subjects.
