BELIEVING, LEARNING AND SHARING TOGETHER: From Monday, school will only be open for the children of key workers who cannot provide alternative child care arrangements any other way. Many families may have one parent keyworker and one that is not. There is an expectation from the Government that these children should be cared for at home. Please see the latest email / newsletter for further information. Remote learning pages will be updated on a weekly basis for children being educated at home.

Breakfast Club

Good Morning from Breakfast Club!

Mellor St Mary's Breakfast Club aims to provide a healthy, secure, friendly and fun start to the school day for children attending our school.

Breakfast Club was first launched on September 6th, 2010.  It is organised and run by Mrs Helen Holroyd, a higher level teaching assistant at school, and Mrs Susan Venables, who is a lunchtime supervisor.  Both Mrs Holroyd and Mrs Venables are trained in food hygiene and first aid, and have the relevant CRB documents.  Breakfast Club also adopts the school's health and safety policy.

Breakfast Club begins at 8:00am, but children may be brought in to school from 7:50am onwards.  A healthy, sustainable breakfast consisting of cereal, toast, yoghurt, fruit and juice is served from 8:00am until 8:20am.  Following breakfast, the children are encouraged to play with a range of activities, prior to going out for ten minutes of fresh air and exercise before the school day begins.

The cost of each session is £5.50, with an initial registration fee of £5.00.
