Lent
At the start of Lent Rev Karen comes to school to burn last year's palm leaves which she then uses to sign our foreheads with the sign of the cross. All children and staff are invited to take part if they wish to, many choose to and some choose not to. This symbolises the start of Lent when the children are challenged to do something extra e.g. 40 acts of kindness or support our Lenten project linked to Blackburn Food Bank by bringing an item a day.
