Faith Group meet on alternate Wednesday lunchtimes with Mrs Marshall. Their purpose is to help develop the ethos of our school from a child’s perspective, to have fun and to help everyone think about what having a faith really means in school.

Faith Group is open to children of all faiths. We think about Christian festivals and what they mean, Muslim festivals and their significance and Hindu festivals and what they tell us about how we should live our lives.
We have often made posters to go on walls and doors that will cheer other children up if they are feeling sad. Sometimes, a few words of encouragement stuck onto a door that you are about to go through can light up you day!
Children from Faith Group come on Pupil R.E. conferences with Mrs. Marshall. The children sometimes get to lead special Worships to talk about what they learnt about on the conference. Bobbie and Elsie came on a conference about inclusion. When we were at the conference, we worked out that sometimes children at our school feel ignored at playtime, so we came up with the idea of making this special box so that anyone who feels ignored could put their name in it. Then, Mrs. Marshall will speak to that child and try to make sure they have someone to be with them at playtime.
All our Faith Group members made pictures of either a happy or sad person. On the outside of the box, we stuck the sad-faced people, and on the inside of the box we stuck a happy-faced people. That was to show that you might feel sad to start with, but when you open the box you can feel happy that you are no longer on your own and the children and adults at school will help you.
Thanks to Bobbie and Elsie for their FANTASTIC ideas!!
