Lancashire School Meals

Hot and cold school meals are freshly prepared on a daily basis by Lancashire County Council Kitchens. All food menus adhere to the National Food Standards and meet the specific requirements for a 'healthy plate'.

Children are given a daily choice (up to 3 main options and 2 dessert options) which are on a three week rota. Menus are changed twice a year : 1 x winter menu, 1 x summer menu.

As a school we do not serve halal meat, however we do offer 2 vegetarian options every day.

Menus are sent home in advance so that parents are able to support children with their food choices and to track what they are having. If you require a menu, please contact the school office.

All Infant children (YR-Y2) are entitled to a free school meal through the government's universal free school meal scheme. Junior children may choose a school meal, although this is costed per day.

September 2024 school meal charges are: £2.70 per day / £13.50 a week paid through parent pay.

If you would like your child to have a school meal, please contact the school office. Likewise if you think your child is entitled to a free school meal (Juniors), then please speak to the school office to find out your eligibility.
